As monomial skills’ training class, oral class aims to train students’ ability to communicate with the target language correctly, and students eager to improve their oral proficiency rapidly through oral class. For students who are in a short-term study in the target language environment, the advantage of environmental resources renders it much more urgent. However, current oral class still employs traditional teaching mode. If oral class is not designed specifically, teachers, especially green hands, would treat oral class involuntarily as Chinese intensive reading class, even grammar class. Classroom activities play an important role in oral teaching as one of the teaching methods in classroom design. Therefore, current oral teachers need to carry out research on these aspects such as enriching oral classroom activity design, highlighting the characteristics of oral class, enhancing teaching communicability as well as improving students’ learning interests.On the basis of the existing researches on Chinese as a foreign language oral class, this thesis starts from classroom activities, combining self classroom teaching practice, and analyses and summarises teaching case of classroom activity design in the process of classroom teaching. And the thesis aims to obtain experiences and suggestions in view of the reasonable employment and arrangement in the form of classroom activities, which helps TCSL teachers to become more targeted in the classroom activity design and improve teaching effect and achieve teaching goal.This thesis is divided into five chapters.Chapter I is introduction, briefly introducing the significance of the research, the research object and methods. Then it summarizes the research status of classroom activities, especially oral class teaching.Chapter II introduces the author’s teaching practice, illustrating the characteristics of students, the teaching goal and arrangement, teaching environment and textbooks of C1oral class, and hereby analyses the necessity and possibility of classroom activities. Then it illustrates the application of classroom activities in oral class on relevant theoretical basis, summarizing classification of class activities and stating how and why classroom activities of C1oral class are selected.Chapter III analyses the teaching case of C1oral class in the form of game activities and role-play on two typical classroom activity design and implement. And after these two teaching activities, the classroom activity would be better designed and further analyzed.Chapter IV reflects and summarises the employment of classroom activity of C1. It analyses the validity of classroom activities through tests and students’ interview, and summarises the existing problems of classroom activities teaching as well as puts forward solutions to them.The last chapter summarises research results and analyses existing deficiencies in this thesis.
