Based on competitive strategy theory, this paper focused on China Film Corp. Ltd. as the research subject, combined with the national macro-economic background and the analysis of Chinese film industry, tried to find out the most appropriate strategy for China Film Corp. Ltd.. Not only make the firm stay ahead in the competitive film market, also make a good influence for the future development of the Chinese film industry. This paper analyzed the company’s internal and external environment thoroughly by using the PEST tools, SCP paradigm and SWOT matrix.In the theory section, paper elaborated the theory of enterprise strategy management by school classification, including theoretical perspectives, representative scholars and theoretical limitation of each school. For the theory of competitive strategy, paper described Configuration School, Resource School and Capacity School separately. The literature of competitive strategy used in the movie&television film listed in the end of this part.In the strategic environmental section, paper will elaborate on the film industry chain and related areas, then use the PEST tool to analysis the macroeconomic environment, SCP paradigm theory helped analysis of the influence among Chinese movie industry structure, pricing behavior and ultimately Box office revenue. Also paper made a division and a brief analysis of the competitors within the industry. The last part is analysis of the internal resources of the China Film Corp. Ltd..After the analysis of enterprise strategic environment, paper made the most suitable strategic options with SWOT matrix tool. The last part of paper will discuss the implementation of safeguards of strategy which the firm choose.According to the analysis results of the paper, China Film Corp. Ltd. believes should be taken intensive growth strategies. The firm can ensure the implementation of the strategy by improving the management mechanism, enhancing risk-control capability and brand influence.
