Women’s history is an emerging field of contemporary historicalresearch, and women in the ancient Roman can be regarded aspioneers.Their voices and images are clearly apparent in manyhistory books as well as numerous works about men and can bepreserved intact. Meanwhile, women in the ancient Roman can notonly work independently in their family life, displaying their owntalents as housewives, but also they can participate in the social lifewhich the exotic sisters never involved. Therefore, this thesis willmainly discuss the changes of Roman Women’s participating in thefield of social life.The thesis is divided into introduction, body and conclusion. In theintroduction part, academic and real meanings of choosing the topic,as well as the research content, research methods and creativity willbe introduced. Body part is divided into four sections to be discussed.The first section focuses on ancient Roman Women’s socialparticipation after the Second Punic War. The second sectionanalyzes the reasons why this series of changes occur among RomanWomen. The third section discusses the influence of ancient RomanWomen’s social participation in various social affairs on Roman society at that time.The last section stresses that we shouldobjectively and accurately evaluate this series of changes whichhappens after the Second Punic War. The conclusion part makes acomprehensive summary for the thesis.
