"Youshi" Narrative Research In The Ming And Qing Novels

Since the Pre-Qin Dynasty, "You" has been one of the traditional way of life of literati who have been doing this all along, and "Youshi" has become an important group in the literati class from Han to Qing. As early as in the Pre-Qin narrative prose has already formed the tradition of "Youshi" narrative. After long time of development, Entered the Ming and Qing dynasties, "Youshi" narrative in the novels is present a splendid sight, Appeared such as Flowers in the Mirrors and The travels of Lao Can which are known for its account of Youshi’s travel process.In view of this, we are going to take "Youshi" narrative in the Ming and Qing novels as the research object. Vertical comb the development grain of "Youshi" narrative from the Pre-Qin to Song and Yuan Dynasty, to generalize Youshi’s image characteristic in the narrative literature of different periods; On the basis of a description of the conditions of writing on "Youshi" narrative in the Ming and Qing dynasties, five types of topics of "Youshi" narrative are categorized from different subjects of novels in different periods of Ming and Qing dynasties, they are "sexual tour", "hack tour", "fantastic tour", " overseas tour" and "chivalrous tour", then mainly starting from the typical texts, analyze emphatically the narrative features of works of different types of topics; Explore the artistic features of "Youshi" narrative in Ming and Qing novels and find out three characteristics:"Diverse presentation of travel narrative structure", "Binary construction and integration of text space" and "Multiple conversion of aesthetic space"; Deeply appreciate the cultural connotation of "Youshi" narrative, discuss the phenomenon about Youshi’s cultural identity multi-complex with Youshang, Youyi, Youxia and Youxian, Then study on the cultural significance of "Youshi" narrative in the Late-Qing novels, and The travels of Lao Can is considered as a representative, Finally, explore the cultural connotation of cultural subjects of "Youshi" narrative in the ancient-present evolution, that is,"You" is a necessary process for literati from traditional Youshi to modern intellectuals.
