The Comparative Study On The Views Of Chinese And Western Culture About Liang Shuming And Li Dazhao In The May 4th Period

Liang Shuming and Li Dazhao are both important person in the May 4th Period. As publishing the book < the culture and philosophy about eastern and western areas>, Liang shuming is known as the ancestor of modern new Confucianism; Li dazhao published the article <my view about Marxism">and so on, becoming the pioneer of China’s communist movement. They are considered on very different roads, as if is incompatible, but they are still very close friends. This article attempts to conduct a comparison on their Chinese and western cultural viewpoints, to find the similarities and differences in their Chinese and western cultural viewpoints and their characteristics and the causes of their similarities and differences between Chinese and western cultural viewpoints. What is more, I hope, according to their enlightenments about the development of Chinese and western culture, trying to explain the phenomenon that the economy rapidly rise in our country, while the moral level is on the decline, and trying to search for a path to deal with this problem.
