The Inquiry Of Decorative Language Of Metal Materials

With the development of modernization and industrialization, the use of metal materialhas the epoch-making significance in the decorative art. Metal with its unique performance, ismore and more widely used in various fields in the design, it is in accord with people’saesthetic taste, and at the same time greatly enriched and decorate our life, and directlyinfluences the quality of people’s life.This paper uses the method of data collection, case analysis and practice of researchmethod, mainly from the inquiry of four aspects of decoration language characteristics; metaldecorative material technique, artistic expression and metal decorative art function, andassociate with the artist’s work to carry on the analysis. This thesis combines the creationpractice of in-depth study, do a more specific statement of graduation creation of creativeideas and creative experience, the works through the commonly used metal match wood andfurniture, produces a unique aesthetic feeling and rich visual effects because of thecombination of the two materials, to make up for the lack of a single material woefully, andalso make the performance of flexible wood diversity. At the same time, analyze on exhibitvisual effects of wood and metal collocation, the work through the comparison of differentmaterials of the same material, compares the expression of different contrast and color, andanalyzes the visual conflict formed study of this contrast of beauty, and provides a new ideafor the use of different materials in the design.This work is a try in compliance with the traditional culture, characteristic and era ofpersonal style in three aspects, is one of my creative practice in the exploration and theresearch process, through the exploration of each program works in the process of analysis,tries to make a summarize practical and rational thinking to the related theoretical knowledge.
