Practice-the Cinematographer Editing Consciousness

In the process of video production, there seems to be no direct contact between the cinematographerand film cutter, this is because the director’s working scope has covered the relation thereinto. However,there may be many overlapping regions in real shooting and making, the shots by the photographer directlyaffects the work of the film cutter in efficiency and quality, and it has direct and important influences on thewhole film-making process. By classifying theoretical analysis and practical creation, the classified study ismade for the relationship between the cinematographer and film cutter, the concrete analysis is done for thereason why the photographer shall have the corresponding editing awareness and the preliminary study ismade for the editing elements and specific shooting methods that the photographer shall pay attention towhen shooting. The paper includes five parts: in Chapter I, combining with the creation literatures ofrelevant photographers, it makes a brief introduction to the definition of origin of editing awareness andconcepts of the photographer; in Chapter II, the work content of the editing procedures of video productionis comprehensively analyzed and the function of the editing awareness in the early stage of production; inChapter III, the intermittent working characteristics of the photographer in the process of creation; inChapter IV, on the basis of the creation content of the photographer and combining with shootingtechniques, the importance of editing awareness to the photographer and the close relation between thephotographer ‘s work and the later process are analyzed; in Chapter V, since the cinematographer embodiesits editing awareness in specific shooting, the specific shooting means and methods that the photographerwill pay attention to when implementing shooting are specially analyzed and discussed.
