Six Flute Concertos op.10, composed by Antonio Vivaldi, is recognized as the modelconcerto of the Baroque Period, Italy. It plays an important role in the history of Western music.Based on the performance analysis of Six Flute Concertos op.10, this paper aims to appreciatethe basic characteristics of the Vivaldi flute concerto. In this study, both the composingtechniques and the playing techniques have been discussed and analyzed in a practical view, inorder to reveal how this work manifests its inherent characteristics in performance and againperfects it in recomposing. In addition, some experience and knowledge obtained in playing thisconcerto has also been discussed in this paper.The further study of the works by Vivaldi has a direct influence on the future study of themusic development tracing back from the late Baroque to Neoclassic and Romantic Period, andthis is where the purpose of this paper lies.
