Francis Planck(1899-1963)French composer.His works are characterized by a rich variety of compositions and a refined and refined style of music with French flavor.He is best known for his chamber music,in which he excelled.In honor of The American artist Elizabeth Coolidge,Planck composed the 1957 Sonata for Flute and Piano,using his best composition techniques and beautiful melodies to complete the retro look of neoclassicism.After the first performance,it immediately received warm response and won high praise.It is one of the music pieces often played in flute concerts.This paper focuses on the analysis of Planck’s "Sonata for Flute and Piano",tells the story of Planck’s personal life and writing background,analyzes the creation characteristics of the work,combined with flute playing skills and composer’s style,so as to make a multi-angle discussion of this work.
