The non-interrogative usages of the interrogatives between modern Korean and Chinese are various. Among all the non-interrogative usages, the negative usages are used widely and are relatively complex. This has caused the Korean learners in China and the Chinese learners in Korea a lot of trouble in language studying. After a serious of induction and collation, we found that there is still much insufficient in the former studies. Although there are many former studies about the non-interrogative usages of the interrogatives, the studies about the negative usages of interrogatives are rarely few. Also the studies about the comparative literatures of the nagetive usages are quite few. Because of this, it is worthwhile to study and discuss about the negative usages of the interrogatives between Korean and Chinese. The object of this study is the negative usages between Korean interrogatives and Chinese interrogatives. In order to find the similarities and differences of the usages between the two languages, this thesis mainly proceeds from the following aspects.Chapter one is an introduction clarifying the research aim, research range and research method. In this chapter, we ensure the possibility through the analysis of the former studiesChapter two symmetrically lists and analyzes the interrogatives with high frequency in the negative usages between the two languages, finding the features and providing the basis of Chapter three.Chapter three mainly find out the similarities and differences of the negative usages of interrogatives between the two languages through the comparative analysis of morphology and semantics. It also finds the internal characteristics and rules in the negative usages of interrogatives between the two languages.Chapter four is a conclusion of the thesis. It concluded the theoretival foundation and results after the comparison, revealing the significance and the results of the research.
