Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" thought plays an important role in Kong Zi’s ideological system. That includes Kong Zi’s understanding of "Tian". The essence of "Tian-Ming". The way to know "Tian Ming". The significance of "Tian-Ming" to human kind etc. The author used in his paper mainly through Ta San · Jeong Yak-yong’s visual angle to research the thought of Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming". Based on this research, analysis Kong Zi’s understanding of "Tian" and "Tian-Ming". Try to rebuild the understanding of Kong Zi’s human nature theory system. Explores the basic thought and ultimate concern of Kong Zi’s philosophy. In order to accomplish that, this paper will be divided into three parts.Part Ⅰ, at first, research the source of Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" thought. Secondly, analysis the historical background of formation of Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" thought. Through this to find out category and concept what contained in the Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" thought. Then search the meaning of Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" thought from evolvement law. Finally comes to a conclusion:Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" thought has two origins. The first origin is the object of the Yin people’s faith "Di(ShangDi)". The second origin is Zhou Gong’s "view of Tian-Ming". The historical background of formation of Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" thought is destruction of rite and music system of the end of the spring and autumn period.Part II, at first, define the range of Kong Zi’s "Tian" and "Tian-Ming". Secondly, analysis Zhu Xi’s explanation on Kong Zi’s "Tian" and "Tian-Ming". At last, through the process of Zhu Xi’s critique of Tasan, define Tasan’s visual angle, and on this basis, reinterpret Kong Zi’s "Tian" and "Tian-Ming". Come to a conclusion: Kong Zi’s "Tian" has three meanings. First, there is a personal creator. Secondly, there is an intentional dominator. And at last, there is an absolute standard of all good and evil. So, Tasan advocate the meaning of Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" and must be explained by three aspects. The first aspect is Tian’s giving. The second aspect is Tian’s command. And the third aspect is Kong Zi’s mission.Part Ⅲ is the key part of this paper. This Part mainly describes the three layer of meanings of Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" from Tasan’s visual angle. The first meaning is the human nature of good morality. The second meaning is Tian’s command. The third meaning is Kong Zi’s missions.In conclusion, the author thinks that although Tasan strongly criticized Zhu Xi’s interpretation and try to return to the original intention of Kong Zi’s "Tian-Ming" thought. But he couldn’t completely get rid of "Zhu Xi’s type" explanation. But the Author is thinking that the results of his research will be of some value and significance when the Confucianism need to dialogue with the West.
