Researches On Russell’s Theory Of Descriptions

Russell’s theory of logic and philosophy of language subjects produced extensive and profound influence, research about MoZhuang word belongs not only to the category of linguistics, but also the modern western philosophy of language is an important research topic. Russell’s theory of contemporary philosophy made outstanding contributions and his resolution to the problems such as "the same problem", "replacement problem", "the law of excluded middle failure" provides unique insights. The theory of the creation of the main purpose is to reveal the difference between the surface of ordinary language grammatical forms and intrinsic logical form, adhere to the principle of Occam’s, clear daily language philosophy brings unnecessary body, fundamentally avoid some philosophical arguments, thereby helping to solve the troubled years of the philosophy of "three problems". Russell was the first to use logical expression and semantic analysis to solve the traditional philosophy problem, this method has caused the revolution of the philosophy, namely "language turn" appearance. The theory was proposed, then in the academic circles caused great influence, in the subsequent development of history. Not only can it obtain the affirmation and praise from many linguists, but also by some scholars criticized and opposed, and the theory of descriptions so in parties of continuous development.The introduction part mainly aiming at the research status at home and abroad and puts forward problems of the theory of descriptions of Russell studies, started writing this paper based on the analysis on the research status; the first chapter mainly elaborates the origin of the theory of descriptions of what is the description and description theory background, Muller, Frege, Tang Nalan and Russell’s theory of descriptions is briefly introduced for each of the third chapter is the theoretical criticism of Russell who pave the way for the second chapter; into the description theory this thesis studies the protagonist Russell, mainly discusses the principle, characteristics; the third chapter on the criticism of the history of the research on the theory of descriptions of the scholars on Russell’s theory of descriptions of the limitations of the fourth chapter; Russell’s description theory and meaning, and about me, some of the descriptions of modern shallow thinking.
