A Commentary On Transfer Of Style In Biographical Translation

Style is the essential property of literary works. The translation of style is an important part of literary translation. In the process of style translation, the translator should make an in-depth analysis of the style of original work by combing stylistic theories and stylistic analysis theories, so as to grasp the style of original work and transfer its style as much as possible. This thesis chooses Stop-Time, a biography with distinct stylistic features, as source text, employs the theories related to stylistics and stylistic analysis, presents some examples of the Chinese translation of Stop-Time and aims to discuss how to transfer the style in biographical translation.
