Gender narrative was first put forward by feminist scholars and was dedicated to the research of the creation of women writers. In recent years, these research methods are widely applied to the male writers of literary creation and literary criticism.Based on the gender narrative of Jin Yong’s martial arts novels as the research object,this paper tries to analyse the sexual image shaping and relationship in the works from the perspective of gender narrative, and to study the factors that affect the author’s gender narrative.This paper is divided into four parts:The First Part expouds the patriarchal imprints in the novel through the comparison of traits of the characters of male and female images, design of fates and value connotations, etc. in Jin Yong’s martial arts novels; The Second Part discusses the presentation of a "double" gender narrative in Jin Yong’s novels in the patriarchal tone: the dual narrative of jianghu and love makes the text full of masculinity, and at the same time feminine beauty;also the text presents a "double" gender narrative,showing the temperament of "double sexes" in the tendency "male feminized” and "female masculized"; The Third Part discusses, under the traditional gender concept that men centered, Jin Yong still pays attention to the female destiny in his books in the view of modern civilization and faces up to women’s emotional need and shows sympathy for their fatein the narrative The Fourth Part analyzes the factors that affect gender narrative novels from the angle of Jin Yong’s thought and reality as well as the influence of commercial mass culture.
