In the process of observation, experience and research summary, Confucius created a huge moral system. This is in the basis of "knowledge, benevolence, courage" which is three outstanding moral character. Therefore, he establish a moral system, its core is "benevolence" and its form is manners. The purpose is to develop and standardize an ideal and in line with the feudal social order and propriety main character. So that is called "Three Dada." "Mean" goes: "there are five roads to be respected, they divide into three kinds when we exercise.we say that the relationships of rulers and subjects, fathers and sons, husband s and wives, brothers and sisters, friends are complied by all people of the world. Also " knowledge, benevolence, courage " are the virtue people must abide. When people practice it, it will be the " sincere "."( " Doctrine of the Mean " Chapter twenty) Confucius tell us that a man who wants to reach a perfect personality cultivation, there are three important points " smart people do not confuse; people with mender do not sorrow; brave people do not fear "( " The Analects of Confucius? Zi Han ").In the Confucian traditional morality, knowledge, benevolence and courage are the most important moral character of a gentleman, which are not one less.Gentleman’s personality is important which is raised by Confucian. Knowledge, benevolence and courage are the core quality of gentleman’s personality. Confucius hopes to improve self-cultivation, and ultimately become the ideal gentleman, a saint. Based on the "Doctrine of the Mean", "The Analects of Confucius", "Mencius", "Zi" and other literature research, I analyze the connotation and cultivation methods and the relationships between the three-Dada and knowledge, benevolence, courage. The first part, I analyze the origin of "Three Dada" and the connotation of "knowledge, benevolence, courage". The second part, I introduce the connotation and cultivation methods of it. The third part introduces the relationships of knowledge, benevolence and courage.
