The Study Of Artistic Expression China Painting Horse

As a popular way of expression, horses are an important theme in Chinese paintings. From the Jin Dynasty to the present, a good number of painting works on the horse theme have been produced with a variety of styles, extensive content and profound connotation, composing an indispensable part in the history of Chinese painting.The study object of this paper mainly focuses on the expression languages and expression techniques of Chinese horse painting. Classification of the subjects and themes in regard to Chinese horse painting was conducted, with such contents being disclosed as the social and cultural life reflected by the themes of horse painting, the relationship between horses and people’s life, the relationship between horses and wars, as well as the symbolic meaning of horses. The author also summarized the modeling features of Chinese horse painting, pointing out that the linear structure and the use of brush stroke as well as the expressive force of ink are highlighted in the modeling language in Chinese painting. Furthermore, the main techniques of expression for Chinese panting of horses were also analyzed and discussed in the paper. Through the analysis of the typical case, the author worked out the overall and the local body deformation and exaggeration of expression, action deformation and exaggerations as well as lines and geometric expression. By analyzing and investigating the development of Chinese horse painting in the new era, four aspects of innovation in the form of painting were put forward, that is, the ability of sketching should be paid attention to, the themes of painting should closely follow the current social life, the complex connotations of painting aesthetic appreciation should be developed, and the new materials, new techniques and new forms should be referenced to.Through the research on the artistic expression of Chinese horse painting, the need to inherit freehand brushwork spirit and thinking characteristics and the characteristics of bone line modeling in Chinese painting is stressed. This paper also studied the contemporary art development of Chinese horse painting and other kinds of art modeling experience. Therefore, it plays an enlightenment role with regard to the exploration in the artistic expressions of painting language in contemporary Chinese painting of horses.
