The Characterization Of Lingnan By Eight Poetsof Tang Dynasty

In recent years, research on Lingnan poetry has become a hot topic in academic circles and achieved fruitful results. Such as research on School of Lingnan poetry in the view of regional literature, the case analysis of Lingnan poets, and interpretation of Lingnan image group in poetry of the Tang Dynasty. Although people have realized the cultural spirit that Lingnan poetry contains, but current studys were still limited by geographical boundaries and lack of comparative studies. Therefore, to analyze the characterization of Lingnan which composed by eight poets of Tang Dynasty, refine the regional culture and spiritual element, will be beneficial to construct the image of Lingnan.In this paper, Lingnan poetry written by eight important poets of the Tang Dynasty, which recorded in The Complete Poetry of Tang, is the research object.The poets represent different period and outstanding different achievement of Tang. They connected with Lingnan for various of reasons: native, criminal, demotion or employ.Works of the native poet, Zhang Jiuling, are full of admiration and love;Shen Quanqi,Song Zhiwen and Du Shenyan express their fear and anxious as criminals; Han Yu,Liu Zongyuan, Liu Yuxi show a patriotic ambition and complex emotions in the places of relegation.Li Shangyin, who had a lifetime of frustrations,conveys a feeling of lonely.The special environment in Lingnan promotes innovation and breakthrough involved the content and formal of their poetry. At the same time, the characterization created by these poets also feeding on regional literature, rich the image of Lingnan by recording time and reflecting the folk custom.This paper is divided into seven chapters, structure and main points will be show as follows:The first chapter summarizes the significance of this paper, the concept of keywords, sum up relevant research results, clarify object selected and research methods used, definite the difficulties.The second chapter introduces the space-time background of Tang Dynasty in Lingnan, show the activity stage in the natural, economic, political and educationenvironment areas.The third chapter is an overview of poets of Tang Dynasty and their Lingnan poetries. There are four categories to describe eight important poets and other relevant poets: homesickness, banishment, relegation and travelling.The fourth chapter gives interpretation of specific works.Not only comment the writing process for natural environment, customs and habits, but also analyze the skills.The fifth chapter further contact poet’s life and background, refer to Hierarchy of Needs Theory, dissect different psychologies that convey by Lingnan poetry of Tang Dynasty.The sixth chapter conclude different emotions and tendencies,discuss the construction and limitations in writing of Lingnan.
