Shanxi bronze culture, is famous for its long history.It also has exquisite craft, unique style and the complete time series.Among them, bronze in Shanxi Museum are more of learning value. Moreover,the majority of which are unearthed from Jinhou Tomb.Therefor, the article starts with Jinhou Tomb’s bronze in the Western Zhou Dynasty, which are collected from Shanxi Museum. It adopts three methods:document analysis, comparative analysis and integrating theory with practice.On the one hand, I make a in-depth research of its inscriptions and explore their artistic achievement and cultural value on the field of calligraphy. On the other hand,by analysing the calligraphy art of inscription,my expectation is to explore the relationship between ancient inscriptions on bronze and modern calligraphy, express the beauty of the inscriptions on bronze by writing modern calligraphy, It provides to the author referential elements for graduation creation.This article introduced part of Jinhou Tomb’s bronze in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and carries on the sorting, also the inscriptions of writing, the content of the inscriptions and inscriptions style are analyzed in this paper. At the same time, it explains the creation inspiration and influence from learning bronze inscriptions.Calligraphy as a way to express the spiritual world of art under the heritage and development of contemporary practitioners, present new ideas and appearance. The creation of the graduation works based on inscriptions on bronze, through the in-depth study of traditional inscriptions on bronze, combined with modern consciousness, try to change its traditional writing mode, use of freely movable degree, and space form relationship and all kinds of writing tool material, increase more uncertainty in the works, seek new forms of inscriptions on bronze, under the background of new era, across traditional limitations, to explore more possibilities.
