Content:Western Zhou Dynasty bronze inscription is the significant category of the early Chinese character. It connects the inscription on animal bones and tortoise shells in Shang Dynasty with bronze inscription in Chun Qiu Dynasty and characters in Zhan Dynasty. In Western Zhou Dynasty, characters weren't the patent of officials' minority. They were used, developed in wider space.Based on the structure - function analytical theory, inductive and comparative method this thesis researches the synthesis character without sound of the Western Zhou Dynasty bronze inscription, using computer technique. It concludes 605 synthesis characters without sound of the Western Zhou Dynasty bronze inscription and 236 basic components from 325 bronze wares of Western Zhou Dynasty, and discusses the function and distribution of components and so on. Moreover, it compares the synthesis character without sound of the Western Zhou Dynasty bronze inscription with the synthesis character without sound of the inscription on animal bones and tortoise shells and the small seal characters.The last adds the three tables of Western Zhou Dynasty bronze inscription, basic components and the names of Western Zhou Dynasty wares.
