To Explore The New Trend Of Contemporary Pop Music From The Perspective Of The Development Of China’s TV Music Talent Show

The development of Chinese pop music can be traced back to the 20’s of the twentieth Century. It has been more than 90 years and there have been a stage of vigorous development so that the majority of the audience loved it very much. It also encountered some embarrassments in difficult period and once regarded as “source” of the spiritual pollution and “demoralizing tune”. Now it finally gets recognized by the society after a bumpy road, and enters the orbit of the development of industrialization. China’s TV music talent show begins to appear from 1984, which is a new type of TV program that is mainly based on the entertainment of people because of its strong entertainment and high participation of people.However, China’s TV music talent show brought to people the excitement and enthusiasm as well as a lot of confusion. The popular music remains stagnant now, so TV music talent show is regarded as an important route of transmission of the pop music. So music and television workers who need to consider how to lead and refresh our pop music. Therefore, in the views of above reasons, my graduation thesis takes the Chinese current most popular TV music talent show The Voice of China as an example to explore the new trend of development of contemporary pop music. This paper consists of four chapters: in the first chapter, the concept of television music talent shows and pop music are briefly introduced, then according to the time sequence of development and evolution of television, the music talent show is divided into four stages, namely the budding, development, adjustment and remodeling. The writer makes a more detailed analysis of these four stages, and then makes an objective review on the basis of characteristics of TV music talent show as the low threshold, the reality show, professional and public judgments. In the second chapter, the author takes The Voice of China of Zhejiang satellite TV as an example to do the research. The chapter summarizes the reasons of this program’s success and its disadvantages in singing briefly according to the resources, the playing forms and the singing styles, audience positioning and team production; In the third chapter, the author discusses the development and evolution of pop music in China, and it can be divided into three stages including the difficult situation-the vigorous development- the diversified development to express the issue. Then, nearly a hundred years of the development of pop music is analyzed in detail. Later, the author describes the basic overview of contemporary popular music from the spread of emotion, excessive packaging business and network platform these three aspects next, the author analyzes the impacts on the development of the pop music by TV talent show in China. In the last chapter, the author takes The Voice of China as an example to explore the new trend in the development of Chinese contemporary popular music from the arranging of songs, the pursuit of artistic appeal and the change of aesthetic trend these three aspects. On the basis of predecessors’ achievements, the author delivers some new ideas and opens up a new field of vision.
