As an important characteristics of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Dukes autocracy has a great influence on national politics, it rarely to see in the two thousand years of Chinese imperial history. Consorts political formation has a very deep historical background. Since the Western Han Dynasty, the magnates has rise to a high position on the political influence gradually to the early Eastern Han Dynasty. As we know, the political of the Eastern Han Dynasty is based on a combination of Liu clan and the magnates. Under this situation, the politics of imperial power has suffered greatly. As an important medium of the combination among magnates and imperial—marriage—the behalf of local loyalty is enough to influence political. For all that, when we research on the Eastern Han Dynasty political history, we should refer to the royal marriage.By the relationship of imperial marriage, the captaincy and empress dowager are in the secondary status that easy to be ignored. Under the background of different social classes in Han Dynasties, they have show different status and features again. The creation of the Captaincy and Empress dowager System in the Eastern Han Dynasty is a pioneering work of emperor Guang Wu when he face to contributors and magnates. In the use of the Captaincy and Empress dowager System, the captaincy recruit many guests and contact local despots closely, that lead to the chaos of marquis in Yun Ping years. On the other hand, a lot of captaincies become the legal succession of the Eastern Han Empire, the relationship between captaincy and consorts has provide essential to dukes autocracy. On the other words, those series of factors lead to consorts political normalized in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
