Study On The Cultural Implication And Aesthetic Features Of The Drama Clothing For Shaanxi Opera

Shaanxi Opera, as one of the oldest types of Chinese opera, originated in the Qin Dynasty; flourished in the middle of Shaanxi province and the core area of Tianshui in eh east of Gansu province; which covered Shaanxi, Gansu and throughout the whole five provinces in the northwestern of China. Due to Shaanxi Opera taken the clapper as syllables and its sonorous tone, it is also called the originator of Chinese Clapper Opera. Shaanxi Opera was listed in the first batch of the national intangible cultural heritage by the State Council in May 20 th, 2006, which proves once again that the significant role of Shaanxi Opera in the art history of Chinese opera. However, the costume in Shaanxi Opera also has a long history in its development and evolution. The elements of costume are colorful and ever-changing. The native Shaanxi Opera has an inextricable links between cultures in Shaanxi and its people’s life; moreover, the costume cultures of Shaanxi Opera are also closely related to Shaanxi people and its heart as well as the Shaanxi customs.The costume in Shaanxi Opera represents the cultural characteristic in Shaanxi province particular in the religion of Northwest China. Shaanxi Opera is not only a kind of opera loved by the millions of northwest people, but till now more and more young people also fall in love with Shaanxi Opera by its profound history and art characteristics, which informs that Shaanxi Opera has much more significant impact on Shaanxi people belonged to different ages. Thus it becomes more and more significant to study Shaanxi Opera, particular Shaanxi Opera costumes. In addition, the cultural connotation included in the costumes of Shaanxi Opera and its aesthetic implication will highlight the personalities of Shaanxi people, which links up with history and down to undertake the future.This study mainly focus on the traditional costume culture in Shaanxi Opera and its aesthetic implication, so as to make the contemporary people, especially the young people have more specific knowledge and understanding; finally to have a clear and stronger sense of national culture, history and geography as well as responsibility. Meanwhile the study of the costume in Shaanxi Opera and the cultures in Shaanxi, it will help to enrich the content of Shaanxi Opera, to expand the scope of Shaanxi cultures and the costume cultures, so that it will further promote the development of Shaanxi Opera, and make the Shaanxi Opera and Shaanxi culture more flourish. Finally it will make people have a clear understanding of local people’s lives, the aesthetic experience and their spirit.For this study, it will make up the existent lack of Chinese opera costumes in local opera costume; meanwhile it will enrich the content of the opera study and its costume study. The present study is involving in the whole Chinese traditional culture and the study of traditional performing costumes, which will have a significant importance.
