The Preliminary Study On Feminist View Of Justice

Justice is the basic virtue and value ideal of human society. However, according to the gender division, women as the important group of human society, have been excluded from the outside the scope of justice theory for long time. For women,injustice phenomenon exists everywhere. They have been forbidden to participate in social public activities, or confined to the household for a long time, or ruled in the roles of the patriarchal culture hegemony. Therefore, these unjust treatments caused a feminists’ strong resistance, prompting feminists for gender justice to practice campaigns and theoretical construction. In the process of the fight for women’s equality and liberation, western feminism took three significant waves. With the three waves, the demands and contents of the justice of western feminism have been constantly changing, from the pursuit of equal rights in political field to appeal to overthrowing patriarchy culture hegemony, and to strive for transformation of the mode production, finally, trying to construct the diversified theories of justice.Throughout the evolution of feminist concept of justice, feminist use the methodology of position, empiricism and gender psychological analysis to explore thoroughly the root of injustice and the approaches to realize gender justice, which expand the new ideas and new approaches, enriching the connotation of theory of justice, highlighting the status and value of women in social development, and miningthe relationship of inheritance and criticism or conflict and fusion between the mainstream theories of justice and feminist view of justice, between the justice of Marxism and feminist view of justice through comparative study to provide the theoretical source for the study and construction of justice of Chinese feminism.Combined with China’s special context and background, Chinese feminists can absorb the advanced western culture to develop the relationship between Chinese traditional culture and feminism, and construct the theory system of justice of Chinese characteristic feminism in accordance with national conditions, and explore effective ways of construction of harmonious socialist society under the socialist market economy on the basis of gender harmony.
