Social control thought that the politicians in the history of all times advocated conception of social control. Its purpose lies in social education by means of social control, such as regulating the behavior of the social individual members, to prevent the occurrence of deviant behavior, maintain social stability. Since the northern song dynasty neo-confucianism advocated by going to “clean up the heart” to integrate the social order, in order to solve the northern song dynasty faced the problems. Lv Dalin is one of the most important representative figure in the all neo-confucianism. Lv inherited the study of Zhang Zai and brother Chengs’, los claims Gracing with the Moralizing--education, through “the ritual” to strengthen their self-cultivation, standardize the order of society and maintaining social stability. Later, his brother put the heavy “the ritual”thought into practice in the guanzhong area and basic on “lvshi conventions” for moralizing people.This paper consists of introduction, text and epilogue three parts. The introduction part mainly illustrates the paper selected topic significance and research status. The conclusion summarized Lv Dalin’s ideas of social control. The text part mainly study the neo-confucianism thought of Lv Dalin from the social control:First of all, the study process of Lv Dalin simply divided into the family study,Guan xue study, Luo xue study these three respects and present the Lv Dalin’s thinking path. In addition, the paper laid a foundation by defining his major works for Lv Dalin’s Confucianism later study. In addition, putting Lv Dalin ideas of social control were analyzed under into Confucianism revival, scholar-bureaucrat spirit and patriarchal these three backgrounds. And the more inclined to the early northern song dynasty of the new social phenomenon, this is the Lv Dalin ideas of social control’s basis, also laid the ideological source of reality.Second, Lv Dalin built “heaven” ontology philosophy foundation, from the perspective of the metaphysical absoluteness, orientation, and the ethics of Confucian moral authority to confirm. He associated “nature” and “heaven” by “good”, to promoteConfucian ethics to social norms and guidelines of height, thus must have consciously from good, obedient to the possibility of natural-principles, is to achieve the Confucian by means of this kind of moral enlightenment pursues holiness, into the king’s goal,thus forming the Lv Dalin theory foundation of social control.Third, Lv Dalin attaches great importance to the cultivation and cultivate one’s morality theory. He took “the ritual” as an important means of social control, advocated by “the ritual” to the people’s thoughts on external and internal constraints and guidance.And in order to promote “the ritual” to the height of the “justice”, which affirmed the rationality of “the ritual”. However, Lv Dalin thought cultivate one’s morality is a complicated and lengthy process. Therefore, in view of the different levels of people in the society, he put forward a “from ming to cheng” and “from cheng to ming” approach------two different stages of cultivate one’s morality through self-cultivation ultimately achieve the goal of “transformation”. This is an outside in process of cultivating one’s morality, also is an important part of the theory of Lv Dalin social control.In addition, Lv Dalin attaches great importance to rural social control theory, he and his brother in the guanzhong area conventions rural control practice, advocated “li su xiang jiao” rural control to promote the change of the customs. This put the profound Confucianism in reality to practice the great attempts, and also the local literary intelligentsia to strengthen local education.
