This paper treats porcelains which from Liao and Jin Dynasties and unearthed in Beijing area as study objects. Evolution law of common types, types staging, judgement for origin of unearthed typical porcelains and usage of porcelain and funeral customs during Liao and Jin Dynasties in Beijing area are preliminary discussed in this paper. The paper is made up of the introduction part, text part and conclusion part.In the first introduction part, On the basis of a large collection and systemizing of the relevant archaeological data, using the basic theory and method of archaeology, carry out the typological analysis to non kiln site unearthed porcelains from Liao and Jin Dynasties from typological perspective and further summarize the evolution law of common types, and then divide porcelains from Liao and Jin Dynasties and unearthed in Beijing area into four periods according to the evolution law.In the second chapter of the text:according the different kilns, archaeological discoveries and research results of white porcelains from Liao and Jin Dynasties and unearthed in Beijing area are systemized. Meanwhile, the research methods and ideas of this paper are stated in this part.In the third chapter of the text:Based on the kiln sites archaeological data and focused on the white glazed porcelain, the comparative study on samples unearthed in the Longquan Wu Kiln, the Ding Kiln and the other Liao Dynasty local kiln sites is carried out. On this comparative study basis, the origin of the typical porcelains unearthed from Liao and Jin Dynasties tombs, the bases of the pagodas and hoards in Beijing area is preliminary judged.In the forth chapter of the text:Summarize the basic characteristics of porcelains from Liao and Jin Dynasties and unearthed in Beijing area with foregoing two parts study as support; Analyze usage of porcelain during Liao and Jin Dynasties in Beijing area combined with literatures and frescoes data; Study the periodization in "Beijing Longquan Wu Kiln report on the excavation" and put forward ideas to this question.In the conclusion part, the main points of this paper are summarized.In tombs and other sites of Liao and Jin Dynasties in Beijing area, porcelain is the largest number object of unearthed burial objects with varied types and local characteristics a certain extent. Archaeological analysis to porcelain is helpful to realize circulation and usage of porcelain during the period of the area governed by nomadic people. And it is also important to related study in the future, including chronology judgement and kiln site discrimination for porcelain unearthed in Beijing area, regional material culture and social history research.
