As a well-known gentry of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, He Dong Wei’s sprung up in the Cao and Wei Dynasty and faded in the western Jin Dynasty. The development of the family happened in stable stage of the Jin Dynasty politics. With an unique value, representative persons Wei Guan of this period is worth to discuss. This article begins with the rise, the development and the fading of He Dong Wei’s,then,to the question of sustaining of family, which is the reason of the decline of the Western Jin Dynasty. At last, to the reason of vanishment of The Tang Dynasty. Try to make the analysis from three aspects:The altitude of Wei Guan toward Jin emperor Wu. Wei Guan’s relationship with Western Jin factions. Confucianism and Metaphysics of Wei guan Importance will be placed on introducing Wei Guan’s action on politics of life in the Western Jin Dynasty to explain why the family faded and did not continue in the golden age.This article is devised into four chapters. Chapter 1 mainly introduces the origination, the rise, the prosperity and the decline of He Dong Wei’s,and analyzes the representative of every period and the influence of politics at that time. In order to understand He Dong Wei’s family groups in Wei and Jin Dynasties. Further to draw out the theme and to explain why the family faded and did not continue.Chapter 2mainly discussed Gentry Class in the transition from the Wei and Jin dynastywhich,the relationship with Si Ma.And in the Western Jin,SiMaYan how to balance the political situation,illustrate that Western Jin dynasty period,the power of Gentry Class become expansile, But still as the leading imperial power,Gentry Class can only develop imperial power itself through emperor. Wei Guan took the altitude of passively and negatively without providing insight into the reason. He brought himself into death, owing to the disapproval on major events to Empire Wu.Chapter 3 introduces the Gentry Class situation in the transition from the Wei and Jin dynasty, and the politics view and ebb and flow of each faction during the early period of the Jin dynasty. This chapter puts forward the political situation of the Western Jin Dynasty and it has nothing to do with faction battle, rather than the political means which Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty balanced. The key is group strength and political thinking of Emperor Wu. Thus, it discusses that Wei Guan’s both lost cannot develop power and continuation of the portal in the Faction politics.Chapter 4 is tried to introduce the family tradition and family education of the He Dong Wei’s from the aspects of thoughts. At the same time, combined with Confucianism and Metaphysics,it proves that the choices Weiguan made in the Western Jin Dynasty is relative to the current social thoughts. It leads to the idea behind and the political passivity,because that he retained the original Confucianism and was not very good at Confucianism and Metaphysics.Finally summarizes why the family faded and did not continue:because Wei Guan with scholar-bureaucrat style in DongHan dynasty. From the political and ideological,he can’t quickly adapt to the reality of gentry in Wei and Jin dynasty.
