Project Report On Translation Of Regulations On Disciplinary Transference Of Students In Sino-Canadian International College Of Guangxi University

The Sino-Canadian International College of Guangxi University has been employing the "2+X" educational system and the training mode of disciplinary transference, so as to train inter-disciplinary talents with entrepreneurial skills. The report is based on the translation project of Regulations on Disciplinary Transference of Students in Sino-Canadian International College of Guangxi University. The target text is aimed at perfecting the bilingual website of the Sino-Canadian International College, strengthening the management of the disciplinary transference, and enhancing the internationalization of the Sino-Canadian International College. From the perspective of translation of prescriptive document, the report presents the analysis of the translation project.With Nord’s text functional model theory as its theoretical basis, the report analyzes the source text and discusses the functions of the target text. The author determined the translation strategy and style under the guidance of Nord’s documentary and instrumental strategy, and translation style is analyzed from the lexical and syntax levels. In the chapter of case studies, typical cases categorized into 4 types (non-subject sentence, Chinese category word, transition of verb and selection of subject) are presented to be discussed, and specific methods in document translation are summarized.The author has summarized experience and skills of translation of prescriptive document by analyzing the translation project, aiming at instructing the author in future work.
