《Annals of Jilin》 is the first comprehensive domestic official document in t-he seventeenth year of the Qing Dynasty, which was wrote by the Chang shun Supervisor, Li Guilin and others. It contains one hundred and twenty-two volumes, with resources of history, economy, food and goods, official, and historical figures in Jilin. In this book, these figures account for more than 1/3 records of the whole book, keeping a record of nearly a thousand historical figures, it’s very rich in content. Therefore, it has the certain reference value to study policies andcharacters, as well as culture in Jilin.The main content of this essay relys on the 《Annals of Jilin》.In this essay, I detailed analyzed those historical figures, explored the main contents, structures and resources of this chronicle. And I believe what I did could have significant importance on the main characters themselves, the relevant historical events, and the culture of Jilin.This essay was divided into four chapters, the first chapter introduces the rel-ated situation of 《Annals of Jilin.》.More specifically, I used traditional literature research methods and referred to some existing historical data and the results of the previous, such as 《Qing Dynasty History》、《Facts of Qing Dynasty》.Under this circumstance, I could discard the dross and select the essential. And I also systematically introduced the author preparation, structure and version of the 《Annals of Jilin.》In the second chapter, I expounded the basic contents and features of 《Annals of Jilin and personages biographies》. At the same time, I carefully studied on the forty-eighth volume, compared the relevant historical resources, referred to the category of 《Annals of Jilin and personages biographies》, summarized the main contents that was recorded, explored the structures of that book.In the third chapter, I explored the value of 《Annals of Jilin and personages biographies》, which also the key focus of this essay. 《Annals of Jilin and personages biographies》 is a large proportion in the whole book. By comparing the historical resources like 《Qing Dynasty History》,Inducing the value of 《Annals of Jilin and personages biographies》,I could offer some valuable relevant resources when doing research of the contribution of people and the development of culture in Jilin.In the forth chapter, I pointed out the limitations of the 《Annals of Jilin and personages biographies》.Because the 《Annals of Jilin》 was wrote in feudal society, which means it retained a large number feudal ideology. Also, it records has some mistakes.In this regard, the use of 《Annals of Jilin and personages biographies》 need us to do some researches, and takes its essence, goes to its dregs.
