The Re-examination Of ’Modern Music’ Research Under The Provisions Of Western Rationalism

At the 1980 s, modern music appeared as the pioneer of ‘the event of music’ for public cultural horizon. That is to say, modern music may stimulates human’s auditory sense in a strongest, and/or most evident way. Unquestionably, let’s put aside the stimulation and impulsion evoked by the modern music, there’s an other important reason why we may always referred the modern music as some kind of ‘trend’, which contributing to the modern musical theorists, that is the academic impulsion triggered by the modern music at a level of utensils and thoughts.Based on related literature of the modern music, and according to the relevant historical materials, with the guidance of methodology related to historical science,sociology, cultural hermeneutics, from a rationalist’s eyes, writer had tried to analysis and rethink the behaviors today, under the trend of modernism, about the instrumental rationality and value rationality.This article consists of five different parts, which are the preface, chapter I to III,and a conclusion. And a brief introduction comes below. Preface contains some explain about the proper names related to writer’s research, and a introduction about the rationalistic method through the research. Chapter I has two parts composes of the explain of the trend of modern music, and the view under the instrumental rationality.Chapter II has paraphrased the trend of modern music under the guidance of Rationalism, also has two parts, consist of the observations and comprehensions of the literature of the instrumental rationality and the value rationality about the trend of modern music. Discussed it from the different views of the two different cultural communities. Chapter III is mainly about the dialectical think and rethink of the nowadays behaviors under the trend of modern music, focused on the two different cultural communities in a rational way. In the conclusion part, writer has tried to analysis the modern music, the trend of modern music, and the rethink about the behaviors today from the perspective of his own,with the guidance of the rationalism,to achieve and realize the goal of this research about.
