Prospective Memory refers to the events planned for the future or the future behavior to be executed. It is closely related to people’s plans and future-oriented behavior. A survey has found that prospective memory accounted for 50%-70% in the memory of the failure in daily life, indicating that prospective memory in people’s lives plays a very important role, and prospective memory failures also has a critical influence on our study and daily life. People’s living environment has complex and diverse situational cues that affect prospective memory processing in a certain extent.Attention is a mental process that closely relate to people’s lives. Attentional resource is an important guarantee to maintain the psychological state. As limited processing resources, its distribution affects people’s performance in engaged activities. Endogenous/exogenous attention is a kind of attention towards which caused by different stimuli, and they regulate the subjects’ allocation strategy of their attention resource. And thus have an impact on prospective memory processing mechanisms. In this study, we used eye tracking methodology to compare the effect of effective and ineffective remainders on prospective memory under the conditions in endogenous/exogenous attention. Experiment 1 uses a single factor (endogenous attention:effective remainders, no remainders, ineffective remainders) between subject design. Experiment 2 uses a single factor (exogenous attention:effective remainders, no remainders, ineffective remainders) between subject design. Tend to reveal the effect of different source information on prospective memory cues perceived policy. Thereby further discuss the characteristics of prospective memory cues perceived strategy. The study got the following conclusions:(1)Under different levels of reminders, prospective memory scores are significantly different.(2)Prospective memory performance under the condition of specifical, high relation reminders is significantly better than the prospective memory performance under the condition of abstract, low relation reminders.(3)Reminders can promote prospective memory, but the effect size of promotion is affected by the different kinds of reminders.(4)Prospective memory process consumes attentional resources, and prospective memory cue extraction is a processing with strategy.
