Psychoanalysis As A Hermeneutics For Relocating The Cogito

As one of the most important contemporary philosophers, Ricoeur’s idea has far-ranging sources including psychoanalysis which played an important role in his whole work. After finishing La Symbolique du mal, a turn of interpretation has happened in his thinking system. During this period, he absorbed the theory of psychoanalysis and Review it in the level of philosophy. In the book of Freud and Philosophy, the concept and text of psychoanalysis had been analysed and reconstructed in detail by Ricoeur, and it had been a part of Reflection Philosophy, which can be treated as a philosophy of relocating of Cogito. Cogito occupied had occupied the core position of Morden philosophy since-Descartes; its self evidence gave a foundation to the certainty. However, in the Frame of Cogito Philosophy, the expression and the diversity of our culture had reduced so that Cogito became the Cogito of abstract and inanity. Through the theory that finished in Freud and Philosophy, comparing to the establishing of Existence Philosophy directly like Heidegger, Ricoerur chosen a circuitous road in conflicts of the interpretation. Through the psychoanalysis, Semiotics and Hermeneutics, Cogito could find a way to existence.Ricoeur’s Review and reconstruction of psychoanalysis abide by the progress of philosophical critic and have two kinds of interpretation to psychoanalysis. First, he interpreted the text of psychoanalysis in detail. He named this kind of interpretation as’analytic phase’. In this phrase, point to the concept of unconsciousness, topography, and economics, Ricoeur made critics and found out the key principles from those critics. Those key principles undermined the core status of Cogito. After that, Ricoeur’s interpretation of psychoanalysis step into the’phrase of dialectic’. In this phrase, those concept which analysed in the analytic phrase had stepped toward to its opposite and finally include the part which contract to itself. In this part, psychoanalysis undermined the status of Cogito as a kind of archaeology of the subject. However, this theory as a kind of negative method cannot relocate Cogito so that it also cannot build the connection between psychoanalysis and Cogito Philosophy. Therefore, psychoanalysis should find the contradiction in itself and change itself from a kind of Archaeology to a kind of Teleology.During the progress when psychoanalysis tries to transform itself from a kind of archaeology to Teleology, in Hegel’s The Phenomenology of Spirit, Ricoeur think, the part of expressing the dialectic of desire of the birth of the self consciousness can be bridge to link up those things. Hegel’s The Phenomenology of Spirit can be an example of teleology expressed the similar content of what Freud said on the opposite direction. Psychology analysis found the contradiction of itself through the concept of identification and sublimation, subsequently, crumble the predominate of economic. Ricoeur tried to apply the dialectic of desire to the contradiction of identification and replace the economic. Lastly, Ricouer want to finish the task of becoming I, of becoming the ego through the approach of the psychology as a kind of Hermeneutics.
