Music Criticism From Muitidisciplinary Perspective

Music criticism, as a new subject, appears extraordinarily fresh compared with the already flourishing subjects like music historiography and music analysis. Currently now, there have come miscellaneous writing techniques about music criticism, according to different individual interests, different research directions and subject classifications, while the form for three major weighing aspects-aesthetic, music-analysis and music-history music criticisms is still single and incomplete. After the analysis of the new trends in recent academic circle, music criticism from multidisciplinary perspective is proposed in this thesis in combination of the drawbacks of single-discipline music criticism to make sure of its simplicity. The characteristics of music criticism from multidisciplinary perspective, and the writing technique and mode are all covered in this thesis. After the research of multidisciplinary music criticism, individual writing case is also used to support the thesis.
