Analysis Of The Anti-hero Narrative In Yu Hua’s Novel

The text, the first chapter delimits the concepts of anti-hero and anti-Hero narrative by discussing the evolution of the narration about heroes. And it analyzes the causes of the anti-hero narrative in Yu Hua’s novel from two aspects, the historical background and the creative concept. Chapter two, it analyzes the anti-hero images in Yu Hua’s novels in the 1980s、1990s and new century. It makes an intensive and diachronic study to Yu Hua’s novel text. Chapter three, by analyzing the anti-hero images, it focus on analyzing the narrative strategy, mainly includes parody and deconstruction, black humour, irony, repetition, and carnivalism. Chapter four, it analyzes the value and significance of the anti-hero narrative in Yu Hua’s novel. Yu Hua draws the outline of a “gray” picture by creating the anti-hero narrative, and presents the humanitarian concern. Yu Hua makes absurdity into a reflection of the reality. He focus on life and criticizes social reality. Conclusion part, the author holds that the anti-hero narrative in Yu Hua’s novel is characterized by high deconstructivity, it help us find more meaning in heroes between the signified and signifier.
