Construction Grammar is a series of linguistic theory based on cognitive linguistics. Adele E. Goldbeg defined construction as the follows:"C is a construction iffdef C is a form-meaning pair< Fi, Si> such that some aspect of Fi or some aspect of Si is not strictly predictable from C’s component parts or from the previously established constructions.According to Goldberg, Construction Grammar has four main features, namely form-meaning pairing, non-derivational, integration and language-specific. This paper applies them to the analysis of China-ASEAN webpage translation. Qualitative method is adopted to conduct the research. To be specific, literature analysis, case analysis and comparative method are used. The examples in this study all come from the following three China-ASEAN related websites:the official website of the China-ASEAN Exposition, China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit Website, and the official website of ASEAN-China Center.According to the result of the study, the translation problems in China-ASEAN websites can be divided into two parts:micro aspects and macro aspects. Micro aspects refer to paying no attention to the form-meaning pairing, the non-derivation feature of language structure, the particularity of English language, and translation errors in wording, grammar and syntactic structure; the macro aspects refer to failure to update information, improper design of website structure and poor contents. Finally, this paper puts forward some beneficial suggestions for improving the translation quality of China-ASEAN websites:(1) Place equal emphasis on form and meaning. (2) Choose proper subject and sentence structure. (3) Choose the proper words according to the context. (4) When undertaking translation practice, analyze the semantic relations of the source language first, and then rearrange and express them in the way of the target language. As for the macro aspects, the following measures should be taken:(1) more efforts should be made to correct the language errors and update the English webpages; (2) the website structures should be optimized and the contents be enriched; (3) the resources of talents in institutions of higher learning, especially foreign experts, should be fully utilized. This paper makes an investigation into the China-ASEAN websites translation in the light of Construction Grammar, which can offer a new theoretical perspective for the study of webpage translation and expand the research field of Construction Grammar; it can also improve the translation quality of China-ASEAN websites and optimize the website structures, thus promoting the development of China-ASEAN websites.
