Cultural Globalization Living Mechanism Research

In contemporary society, “Culture” has become an increasingly focused area. Cultural globalization is generally deemed as global exchanges of culture and the byproduct of economic globalization. Culture reflects the demand and expression of people’s lives. Cultural globalization is by no means a by-product of economic globalization; it has demonstrated its own development process and logic. The thought of “world literature”, proposed by Marx, has transcended such a superficial view of globalization. There are three layers of globalization, namely global exchanges, global rules and global organization, with people’s common life worldwide in the core. Cultural globalization is a kind of cultural appeal and expression for such a phenomenon of common life, featuring “disembeding”. It takes deep root in the requirement of modernity and its expansion. And modernity is the inner mechanism of globalization and cultural globalization, which manifests the global expansion of instrumental rationality and popular culture. As the meaning of life and expression system, Cultural globalization originates from two aspects: one is cultural concept and expression of western modernity; the other one is collision and mutual understanding posed to former life style of participators in the cultural globalization. This is the underlying reason of various figurative contradictions of cultural globalization Therefore, the consequence of cultural globalization is the final dominance and control of western culture, is a mixed scene between the cultural conflict and cultural coexistence, between cultural unification and diversified situation.
