We can often meet the informal official titles when we read, Firstly, the author defined the informal official titles and classified them.The main reason that can explan the formation of the informal official title include two sides: the development of the language and the way we use the official titles.The study is concentrated on the language symbols of the informal official titles in Ming dynasty. The third to sixth chapters is concentrated on the numbers of symbols, the structure, and the forms of language of those informal official titles in Ming dynasty. The informal official titles tend to use less chacracters than the formal official titles, which is convenient for us to use the titles. For the forms, we found that under the assimilation of the language, the the informal official titles have a regular forms. Besides, the informal official titles often use the name of the true thing as the official titles, which make the official titles vivid and specific.In finally, we fond out that all of those characteristics means to make the informal official titles simple and easy to remember, which is also composite the law of ordinary language.
