After the first world war, the western colonists take more brutal plundering on the south China sea area.Politically,the western colonists successively established colonial rule controlled by colonial power; Economically, as the western capital inflow into the south China sea area, and then control the south China sea regional economy from country to country. As the old saying, "Where there is oppression, there is resistance", the south China sea area take the national liberation movement between the different countries. Cultural changing is a reflection of political and economic change. So the culture of the south China sea region is also changed as the change of domestic situation and change happened. This article mainly include the thought, religion, education and literature.First,in the thoughts,after the first world war,all countries take the the national liberation movement,as a reflection of the western invasion,this area arise the nationalism; second,in the religious, as a decline in the status of Buddhism and the reform of the Islam and the spread of Christianity,the religion also have a change.Third,the south China sea region set up a modern education mainly due to the influence of western modern education.Last,the literature’s form changed from the traditional to the modern times;otherwise, in content, the literature have the patriotism and nationalism color mainly affected by the western modern literature in the form.
