The Conflict And Collision Of Eastern And Western Civilization In The South China Sea Area

Eastern and western civilizations are precious treasures belonging to human. Countries in south China sea region are the main base of eastern civilization. Eastern and western civilizations have experienced many times of collisions along the history. Those collisions differ in contence and form, but all resulted in eastern and western culture with distinct era characteristic under the specific historical background. War, religion, and trade are the main drives for the collision and fusion between east and west civilizations. Since entering the 16 th century, the western industrial civilization, which was reflected in the form of colonialism, namely war, armed with the advantageof its military power, broke the closed doors of the countries in the south China sea region. Since then, people in this region had undergone several centuries of anguish and frustration, under the fierce collision of iron and fire, flesh and blood, the fedual system in the south China sea region rapidly disintegrated.Thus this thesis is going to discuss the impact of colonial aggression on the fusion between eastern and western civilizations, preceding from the specific conditions of politics, economy, culture in the colonial period. Also it will clarify the impact of the collision of eastern and western civilizations on the procedure of the early history of globalization.
