National vocal music art acts as a shining pearl in the world music hall and it is also a fabulous art treasures for the accumulation of thousands of the Chinese nation. Moreover national vocal music is also a master and successor of traditional art essence as well. This kind of art has a very broad coverage which includes traditional opera and the derivative of the local opera, folk songs, folk songs, and original ecological ethnic music. Currently, the development of national vocal music has been very mature and formed a relative complete system of creation, performance, and teaching. However, accompany with the rapid development of era, in the future, challenges and opportunities are also on the way waiting for the national vocal music.As a graduate student in the field of national vocal music, three years study let me have a comprehensive understanding of national vocal music in terms of theory and singing experience. This paper will discuss the new development style of national vocal music from four multiple aspects which are traditional, modern, fashionable, and fashionable. Seen from the structure of this study, there are six parts totally and details are as below.The article starts from the analysis of Chinese characteristics. Language is the foundation of songs. The pronunciation and word form characteristics of national language determines the direction of national vocal music to some degree. This paper gives a conclusion for the characteristic of Chinese language is “granular”. Based on this, at the burgeoning period of national vocal music history, it had already shown our national characteristics. Thus the first part of analysis is introduced based on this.In the second section, the paper focuses on the impacts of traditional Chinese opera on national vocal music. From root cause researches of traditional opera art features, this paper analyses opera singing skills and then lists the important kinds of opera. Among which, due to the representative position of Peking Opera, this paper pays more attention on the influence caused by it and gives a detailed analysis and summarizes a list of several common singing techniques as well. Based on the in-depth analysis of the Peking Opera and the transcriptions comparison of “Beijing hometown”, this paper demonstrates its important significance of national vocal music. In addition, a basic and simple research is also done form the perspectives of other local drama, such as Shaoxing opera, Henan opera, Ping Ju, Huangmei opera, Qinqiang opera, and Cantonese opera. Through the analysis of these operas, the conclusions of the characteristics of traditional art are shown.The third part states the modern variant of national vocal music. The multivariate integration process of national vocal music is established. This analysis is based on the development and evolvement of national vocal music especially in modern era. The classic aria "north wind blow" chosen form famous classical aria in the opera “white-haired girl” is selected as a case analysis to present the differences in national vocal music between traditional and modern era. Moreover, according to the research on the transcriptions of “My motherland” and “the Red Plum Blossom”, this paper derives the characteristics of national vocal music development in the present and gradually progressives to the cause of "drama". Here analysis “Ode to Plum Blossom” and "without a strong country, which have a happy home" these two representatives works. A detailed analysis of the definition of drama is demonstrated. This part also discusses the characteristics of drama from macro, meso, and micro three dimensions to define the influences of drama on national vocal music. Diversification encourages the development of national vocal music.The fourth section shows new shapes of the prevalence national vocal music form three aspects which are singer, educational field, and creational perspective. Firstly, it is based on the purpose to the development of national vocal music after the reform and open as the foundation and thinks about the development of culture to the impact of the national vocal music art. Starting with Gas voice singing created by Li Guyi, an analysis is done according to the transcriptions of the song “Country Love”. Secondly, from the research of transcriptions of the song “That is me”, the music education in the field of eclecticism statement can be illustrated vividly. Finally, seen from the transcriptions of “Today is your birthday, China”, to indicate how the creation of songs impacts the development of national vocal music.The fifth section introduces how fashionable elements can injects more vigor to the development of national vocal music. Firstly, a definition of fashion is given, especially in the field of music area. This part mainly focuses on individual person, such as composer Zhao Jiping, singer Tan Jing, and actor Wang Li, to try to talk about the introduction of fashionable element. Anglicize of composing techniques and singing skills is presented according to the sturdy of transcriptions “Deep Love” and “Sister Jiang” respectively. In a nut shell, this parts comes a conclusion that fashion elements do inject more vitality to the development of national vocal music.The last section of this paper combing the writer’s experience states the understanding of diversity and integration. The writer held a solo concert in June 7, 2014. On that solo concert, the writer played the songs of “A sub-venue song” and “Not filial failed Mother”. In this part, summary and singing lessons can be found.According to the above six sections analysis and researches, a basic conclusion of national vocal music can be draw which are multi-diversification of traditional, modern, popular, and fashion.
