Martha graham is a famous dance artist, and she is also one of the three greatest masters of art in this century. She said that dance is to show the image of our heart. It has many similarities with art principles of animation. After further research, the author found that Animation and dance have a lot in common in art language and aesthetic field, especially in animation performance and dance performance parts. What is more important, The differences between them made them promote each other. It could help them to break the limitation of time and space, and also will create new possibilities, so that the form of animation will become more abundant.Animation and dance, are all need "breath".Breath is the basic of life, it is also an important means of artistic creation. We will often do addition and subtraction during art creation process. ”Breath in” is to increase the good parts,and “Breath out” is to get rid of the bad parts. This paper attempts to use the performance of dance and animation as the breakthrough point, explain the difficulties and solutions in the creative process of using dance language to improve animation performance design.
