As the global communication becoming more and more frequently, many foreigners have interests in Chinese culture. Many of them have chosen to learn Chinese in China. At the same time, the TCFL has established a relatively complete theoretical system of disciplines.And with the unceasingly thorough research of Chinese as a foreign language, more and more scholars pay close attention to Chinese language learning strategy.Listening is one of the four basic language skills(other three are speaking, writing and reading), which plays a very important role in the process of language learning. Only can foreign students understand Chinese, the communication will continue successfully. At present, the domestic studies of listening are more focus on the study of English as a second language. In the early, special studies on foreign students of different nationalities in premier and middle level and on their listening strategies are almost blank, which have the necessities of research.This paper includes following parts. The first chapter introduction, mainly talks about the paper research background and purpose. The second chapter is the second language learning strategy and research review, this chapter mainly discusses the learning strategies, and the second language learning strategies, and related the concepts of listening learning strategy, all these analyses provide theoretical support for the article. The third chapter is the survey design of overseas students listening, is investigating the situation of listening strategy use for international students. Including the first part, basic information mainly investigate students of gender, age, native language background. The second part is multiple choice, the questions involve students listening situation at ordinary times, duration, difficulty, etc. The third part is the survey of students listening strategies, we from the metacognitive strategy, cognitive strategy, social emotional strategy, etc. The fourth part is the survey statistics, mainly carried out a statistical analysis on the result of the investigation. Including statistics of listening time,the difficulty statistics, and students in extra-curricular time to practice listening and practice method of statistics, and listening strategies statistics as well as the statistics of their attitude towards listening course. The fourth chapter is the influence of individual factors on the listening strategies. Including the mother tongue, age, learning time, the influence of gender on the listening strategies. The fifth chapter, analyze the results of questionnaire. Wesummarize the characteristics of the students listening strategies. The sixth chapter expounds the research findings. According to the conclusion of this article. We hope we can provide some opinions and suggestion to listening teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
