The Inspiration From The Artistic Style Of Hua Xian Shadow Play On My Creation

According to statistics, Shadow play is an ancient folk art, which originates from the Song. reaches its heyday in the Ming and Qing.The shadow play formed in HuaXian County during the Mind and Qing dynasties is one of the most famous shadow play genres. Compared with other shadow play genres, Hua Xian shadow play adopts fine modeling and delicate carving techniques, as well as vivid and elegant art images.The carvings of HuaXian shadow play are very delicate, focusing on the use of grain patterns, its character modeling adopts plane modeling features such as complex internal decoration with simple appearance. In my graduation project, I got great inspiration from the character modeling of HuaXian shadow play. The adoption of such aesthetic concept provides strong decorative effect for my work. The paper illustrates the unique artistic style of HuaXian shadow play from its development process, character modeling and other perspectives, and emphatically elaborates the inspiration from the artistic style of Hua Xian shadow play on my creation.
