As famous Russian contemporary female writer, every work of Ludmila Ulitskaya would caused a sensation in Russian, affecting generations of reader. Ulitskaya focus on the daily life of common people and eternity-related topics. Therefore, after the publication of all daily lift-related works, She shifts her concentration on human with topics such as “Childhood”,“family”, She published publishing 2 Portfolios Childhood in 1949, Childhood between 1945-1953: Tomorrow would be better. This essay text analyses the 2 portfolios on the basis of “ childhood memory”writing style.It aims to explore the historical truth in Russia from 1945 to 1953, and to arouse readers’ deep thinking on the historical truth of that period.By narrating various stories with a child ’s vision,the historical facts of that period as a whole could be reflected and thus triggering deep thinking in reader’s minds. The memorial written in the 2 portfolios dedicates the reality of history and the beauty of liberty, showing the growth of individual in society, and integrates some kind of hope as well as the reality factor which could not separated from that specific age and historical truth.The period between 1945 to 1953 is a special one to the Soviet Union.This year remarks the 70 th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War, we could envisage history of our country by reading the historical works of Russian writers,best represented by Ludmila Ulitskaya.“Forgetting history means betrayal”, we together with our descendants could never forget history no matter it is glorious or shameful. History is the best and cherished fortune of spirit.By discussing the topics such as human rights and the awarness on rule of law like a Child recalling, Ulitskaya connects the individual’s responsibility on the nation’s destiny and culture together, arousing reader’s consciousness on the importance of respect on history, awareness of history, bravery, memorizing, and learning from history.
