Autonomous learning ability play an important role in learning English, it can cultivate students’ ability of life-long learning. The students master the ability of autonomous learning, would have a sense of responsibility for their learning, will have the ability of lifelong learning. In this process, teachers play the role of guidance, supervision and assistance. Therefore, in the teaching to cultivate students autonomous learning ability is very important.In the higher vocational teaching, the ability of autonomous learning in recent years were also mentioned. However, higher vocational students generally do not have the consciousness of learning, their interest in learning is less a little. Autonomous learning for them more difficult to achieve. They are integral to the study of language is in passive state, this and their learning motivation, metacognition development level has very big concern, also has contact, learning style and learning conditions, many reasons lead to students’ subjective and objective didn’t find suitable learning strategies. Constructivism believes that knowledge is the learner under certain situation, with the help of others, using the necessary learning materials, through the way of meaning construction. Just to satisfy the students’ autonomous learning and class environment, the use of the teacher’s guidance and strategies play a very important role, if the teacher’s role play of good, will have a positive impact, social construction in teacher, student, tasks, and environment is a dynamic process of interaction, the traditional teaching is not language teaching, it will focus more on language as a subject, and language learning is to cultivate students’ English comprehensive ability, and autonomous learning is to cultivate students continue to study, know how to learn and become comprehensive ability.The fourth chapter based on this, the paper focuses on cultivating ability of independent learning strategy. First, stimulate students’ learning motivation is very important, which means that how many efforts of the future work, if students don’t study hard, negative, will have little effect. Secondly, according to the different learning style of students to determine the learning strategies, this and previous teaching every student "unified teaching outline, teaching materials, teaching plans" have substantial distinction. Again, "tailored" learning strategy for students to make feedback, in the application of metacognitive theory to students the guidance of the process.Then the external factors approach. Teaching materials play a large role in selecting teaching materials related to the teaching outline, teaching plan, teaching methods and teaching means, the author thinks that choose can cultivate autonomous learning and can be with them for the future development of the teaching material is very wise. Then, it is also important to know about the students’ psychological, of course also want a easy and good relationship with them, at the same time involved in network multimedia. Finally, know for so "new", the establishment of group cooperation can communicate what they have learned in class, can learn English at the same time, the class for feedback, etc.
