The Comparative Study On Phonology Of Lianhua

Lianhua county, which located at the west of Jiangxi Province and the middle of the Luoxiao mountains, also is the north foot of Jinggangshan. A hilly place with a mild climate and a distinctive four seasons.The dialect of Lianhua county contains different subjects since it is next to Anfu county, Yongxin county and Chaling county belongs to Hunan province. It is so vital to study the dialect of Lianhua county because it contains a lot of language treasure, while it has never been explored before.Hence, I feel it is an obligation that one can’t escape to explore this high grape language ore. With regard to this, I chose the dialect of Lianhua county as my master thesis topic.Lianhua dialects divided into Longxi area and Shangxi area,the county seat represent Longxi area, Lukou represent Shangxi area. It is concerned with the administrative divisions in past dynasties.The place which was belonged to the jurisdiction of Yongxin is in Longxi area,and similar to Yongxin dialects.The place which was belonged to the jurisdiction of Anfu is in Longxi area,and similar to Anfu dialects. There are slso some divergencese in Longxi area:Sanbanqiao close to Yongxin,the locals speak much the same with Yongxin; Qinting town in the middle of Lianhua county, their tccent has obvious differences from Shangxi area; Liangfang town at the junction of Longxi area and Shangxi area,which had greatly influenced by Shangxi area.It mainly studies the phonological and the characteristic of the dialect of Lianhua county, besides, it compares the development of the Synchronic and the Diachronic displaying an overall features and evaluation rules of the dialect of Lianhua county.Lianhua dialects can’t distinguish sharp and round initials,and the ancient voiced consonants all unvoiced; The evolution of vowels are more complicated and have lots of differentiation and confluence phenomenon; There are Yangshang tone,and aren’t Rusheng tone words.Shangxi area’s number of initial and vowel is more than Longxi area’s,and Sanbanqiao’s number of initial and vowel is more than Qingting towns’.The difference between new faction and classic faction is influenced not only by mandarin,but also by dialect inertia, range of application,and economic principle.
