The Comparative Study Of Happiness Index Among Three Major Areas In China

Purpose:1.To integrate <Happiness index measurement questionnaire of Chinese citizen>; 2.To comparative and analysis the present situation and differences of Chinese citizen’s happiness index in different areas; 3.To explore the influence factors of happiness index in different areas; 4.To put forward suggestions for the improvement of happiness index according to the research conclusions.Method: Measure the eastern, central and western citizen’s happiness index by using <Happiness index measurement questionnaire of Chinese citizen>,randomly give out 1405 questionnaires, using SPSS17.0 and Lisrel 8.70 software for statistical analysis.Results:1.The reliability and validity of <Happiness index measurement questionnaire of Chinese citizen> are good, it can apply to measure happiness index chinese citizen; 2. Subjective well-being of western citizen(4.704±0.844) is significantly higher than eastern citizen’s(4.573±0.817); the happiness index of eastern(6.12±1.434) and western citizen(6.009±1.331) were significantly higher than the central citizen’s(5.793±1.423); 3.The manager class and professional technical personnel class of eastern have higher happiness level; In central area,privately or individually-owned business class has higher happiness level,the happiness level of state and social management class,urban and rural unemployed personnel class are low;In western area,state management classes, office clerk class and privately or individually-owned business class have higher happiness index.Subjective well-being of western female is higher than the male; 36~45 years old citizens in central area have the highest happiness level, 26~35 years old citizens in western area have higher happiness level; The happiness level of urban citizens in Eastern and central areas are higher than rural citizens’; married people’s happiness level is higher than the unmarried; people have higher education experience always have higher happiness level; people earn 80000 to 200000 annual income have highest happiness level;people live in 100~149 square metres of housing area can experience higherhappiness level; 4.The happiness index of eastern citizen has significant difference in the variable of relaxation condition, traffic condition, education, income; The happiness index of central citizen has significant difference in the variable of financial situation,security of society,housing price; The happiness index of western citizen has significant difference in the variable of financial situation,sustainable development and security of society.Conclusion: 1.The eastern, central and western citizen’s happiness index are better than average, and there are significant differences among the happiness index of these three areas; 2.Demographic variables have different effects on the happiness index; 3. City conditions can be used to predict the happiness index of these three areas.
