The archaeological remains and artifacts provide considerable materials for archaeological research in handicraft industry, which has become one of the important contents to explore city development and social change. With the continuous differentiation of social structure, the handicraft industry from single Handmade to management and processing department of social production data,and ultimately become the most important economic indicators to measure the level of social development.This paper selects handcraft Industrial sites of the Wangcheng city of Eastern Zhou as the object to study, focusing on its found, layout, development of social status and requirements of the society and manufacture, including trade, market management, planning and layout of city and so on. By layout and evolution and the distribution of handcraft industrial sites of the Wangcheng city of Eastern Zhou, within the archaeological materials to analyze the planning and layout of Wangcheng city of Eastern Zhou and its characteristics, the etiquette system, historical background, and development level of productivity in the Eastern Zhou period, market setting and correspondence of The Rites of Zhou, identity status and management of craftsmen, Merchants Group and business transactions, social life and social status in the Eastern Zhou dynasty and so on.
