Clan indoctrination was the purposeful education to clansman under the environment of clan, including specific forms of education and invisible education. Clan indoctrination was one of the representations of the traditional culture. It had important significance and function at educate descendant. Huizhou was the clan society at the late feudal society and the economy had beening developing in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The clan indoctrination was perfected constantly and the impact on descendant was more profound. Huang clan at Tandu was one of the most distinguished clan at Huizhou, and the earliest Huang clan could source back to the Han dynasty.The first part of the thesis discusses the Huizhou clan and the development of businessmen. The clan was the most important informal organization in ancient China. When the clan culture going to decline in the central China, this ancient culture was saved in Huizhou, because of the mountains. The businessmen’s development was based on the Huizhou’ clan culture, and the backgroung was the interaction between businessmen and intellectual. The reasons were the relaxation of national policy, the swerve of Confucianism and the support from the clans. The interaction between businessmen and intellectual was a special phenomenon in Ming and Qing dynasty.The second part of the thesis discusses imperial examinations in Huizhou. The imperial education was one of the most important content in huizhou clan indoctrination. Huizhou clans tended to spare no effort to support clansman. Under the backgroung of the interaction between businessmen and intellectual, the imperial education’s purpose had to expand.The third part of the thesis discusses business education in Huizhou. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, huizhou’s traditional clan education began to change in order to adapt to social’s changes. The business education was the most special features in clan indoctrination.The fourth part of the thesis discusses moral education in Huizhou. Huizhou clans’ moral education included all aspects of the clans’enlightenment. It carried out through two ways, including infant education, family education, zugui education and clan free school. Under the background of interaction between businessmen and intellectual, the business morality should be brought into the moral education. Huizhou’s clans strengthened the moral education.The fifth part of the thesis discusses art education. Art education was quiet important in the ancient times and it was one of the important characteristives of intellectual. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the economic of Huizhou was developing quickly, not only promoted the development of the imperial examinations,but promoted the development of the art education. The Xinan branches in the Chinese painting was the most resplendent achievement in the art education.The last part of the thesis discusses Binhong Huang who was the most famous painter in the 20th century. Binhong Huang grew up in the Huizhou clan and he was a typical representative of Huizhou clans’descendant. Binhong Huang was born in a turbulent modern times. No matter what difficulties he faced, he constantly forward in a positive attitude. He once attended the imperial examinations, tried to be a businessman, devoted the revolution and became a painter at last. He inherited the spirit of the Huizhou camel.
