Whether in China or in the west, “courage” is an important traditional moral virtue. The current study of ethics, usually pays attention to analysis and interpretation of “courage” as a specific moral virtue, but the concept of “courage” essentially has three levels of means: “courage” as a natural virtue, as a moral virtue and as one of the core elements as all kinds of virtues.As a natural excellence, “courage” refers to the individual personality traits and behaviors style in psychology. It is morally neutral, because “courage” in this sense does not necessarily lead to moral behavior, even lead to unethical behavior. In today’s competitive international environment and social environment, both individual and nation, to succeed, we must worked hard with the strong spirit of quality, thus the sense of “courage” has a positive value for forming individuals’ strong personality, pursuiting happiness life and national revival.But at the same time, this sense of “courage”, need to take a rational and correct values and norms, or may lead to wrong actions. As a natural excellence, “courage” to become a real moral “courage”, is the premise condition and the need to add some moral connotation. We need to know right from wrong, to ensure that our “courage” is ethical, we need to know the complex social knowledge, our behavior is the system, in a planned way, rather than the instantaneous impulse, sustainable, to form a stable character, the “courage” can we rise to a moral virtue.However, if we through the baptism of moral culture and moral reflection on the “courage” only limited to a moral virtue, then we will underestimate the value of the “courage”. When we rethink the human virtue and moral behavior, we will find that there are “courage”. It is our moral development and moral accomplishment of an important basis and psychological quality. “courage” is not only a special kind of virtue, but also is a kind of help achieving ideal moral personality power, is obtained by the various people the personality power of virtue.
