In this study, the visual performance from smell to memory is the main topic, through investigating the perception of the smell, we can analysis of transformation from smell to memory, and then summarize its visual features, in the end we can refine the typical visual symbols of smell and memory. Smell is a kind of special things which can change the emotion and behavior through the sense of smell, and then it connect with people’s memories. Therefore, it’s very important to do research of connection between smell and memory.The research is based on marketing investigating. Literature Research、 experiment analysis、Design Practice the first part is in the investigating of market, there are some cases about odor increasing sales, and then odor memory products number is more and more. Analysis of identify the smell and memory for differentiation is based on material collecting.In the literature research. combined with domestic and international research case studies there are some connecting with odor smell and memory features, therefore theoretical basis about smell of visual representation can be provided.In design practice and research, the relationship between odor concentration and memory is the key point. The research add odor smell to existing marketing model consumers can have deep memories of brand with odor visual express.The fourth part is the self-assessment of design, from three aspects what is design concept, a new way to experience and objective evaluation to comprehensive evaluation. The emphasis is on to make an objective evaluation of the design concept of smell and memory.
